TEAM-TECH Competition. The NODUS project gained appreciation

NODUS - is the title of our project which has gained appreciation and has been awarded the funding by the Foundation for Polish Science, in the first edition of the TEAM-TECH Programme. The experts appraised only eight projects as qualifying for funding.

TEAM-TECH Programme offers grants to research teams for their R&D activities focused on developing technologies or products based on scientific discoveries. 38 projects had entered the first TEAM-TECH competition and eight of them received funding from the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020.

The NODUS project aims at developing new optical fibres for sensors exposed to radiation. Such optical fibre sensors are enable to accurately examine conditions in e.g. nuclear power plants or radioactive waste repositories. The project will be carried out within the Cluster for Photonics and Fiber Optics and headed by Tomasz Nasiłowski, PhD.
